I must credit the Ok. A&M football program for getting me started in College (I guess that dates me just a tad), for without a scholarship I probably would not have gone. And while I have some fond memories of being an "Aggie," and numerous aches & pains today, I am fortunate that early on I realized that making a career in FB wasn’t going to happen.  So' from a friend's father's suggestion I decided to study Geology.

Graduating from OSU in 1960 I spent about 40 years working as a geoscientist for first Conoco, then Phillips Petroleum Company. It was an exciting and rewarding career that took me around the globe. There is no doubt that my education from OSU made my career possible. As soon as I could put a few "bucks" together after graduation I began making donations to the OSU A&S/Geology Department. It feels really good knowing I am paying back the hand that provided me the education I used for so many years. I would hope that most all OSU grads feel the same way. It is always a joy to come back on campus and visit the Geology Department, and also the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center knowing I made some small contribution to their success through the years.
