As an eighth grader growing up in Valliant, Okla. (population: 771), Kyle Ensley envisioned working with the U.S. Foreign Service. This year, he’ll begin his dream job. Kyle is the recipient of a Thomas Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship, which supports his final two years of OSU attendance, two summer internships, summer study at Princeton University, and a two-year graduate degree, and leads to employment for a minimum of four years as a Foreign Service officer. “Service in general has really been important to me. I knew I wanted to work for the Department of State,” said Kyle. “But I didn’t really know about how to go about doing that until I came to OSU. Attending OSU has changed my life.”
