Facility Support

Our goal: $200 million

When progress comes as fast and furious as it does at OSU, the challenge is keeping capital facilities and equipment up to the task. Branding Success will raise $200 million in funds for:

  • A substantially larger and reconfigured home for the Spears School of Business will provide access to state-of-the-art teaching, research and outreach facilities while they learn the art and science of leadership, ethics, risk-taking, creative thinking, communication and teamwork.
  • Renovations to OSU’s central gathering and activity hub, the Student Union are aimed at meeting the needs of modern students. OSU has long been known as a campus where students had numerous opportunities to build their leadership skills and strengthen their résumé in preparation for career and community leadership. Renovations and the creation of many student-centric centers will bring many of these experiences into one facility where individuals and groups can learn from one another.
  • Addition to the Human Sciences Building will facilitate research efforts related to such timely issues as childhood obesity prevention, aging and gerontology, components of family risk and resilience, creation and development of protective clothing for emergency personnel, social and behavioral observation, coding in marriage and family relations, and nutritional standards.
  • Construction of a multi-faceted Visual and Performing Arts Center, a state-of-the-art facility to house the fine and performing arts. This crown jewel of the program will include a main theater, blackbox theater, dance studio, recording studio, classrooms, scene shop and storage, concert hall, recital hall and practice rooms.
  • The Equine Critical Care Unit addition to the Boren Veterinary Teaching Hospital will give us the power to thoroughly educate and train students in the most advanced critical care procedures. This is vital as we are the only accredited vet school in a state whose economy is impacted by more than $189 million from the horse industry.
  • Renovation of Agricultural Sciences’ Barn A, whose history dates back to the Great Depression and Dust Bowl. This facility will become a convenient, beautiful conference center with ample parking for festive, large gatherings or small outdoor events near the barbeque pit.
  • OSU Institute of Technology Energy Center at OSU’s Institute of Technology is a 33,600-square-foot, two-level center that will contain world-class instructional and applied-research spaces. The facility seeks to meet the growing demand for productive and efficient technicians in the natural gas compression industry through the construction of this state-of-the-art training center
