OSU Foundation RANKED 12th in 'Best Places to Work'

okcBIZ honors organization as one of Oklahoma's top employers

At its annual awards gala on June 28, okcBIZ magazine named the Oklahoma State University Foundation No. 12 on the list of 2012 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma for organizations with fewer than 250 employees.

"This award recognizes our organization as being one of the Best Places to Work in Oklahoma but, really, it is  a statement about the people that make this one of the best places to work in Oklahoma," says Kirk Jewell, president of the OSU Foundation.

Best Companies Group collected data from the competition entrants and performed employee surveys to determine which companies had the best practices, and participants were ranked accordingly. Thirty finalists were selected, with 18 in the OSU Foundation's division and 12 placed in the "large" category for organizations with at least 250 employees.

All 30 companies received the results of their survey, identifying their workplace strengths and weaknesses as compared to other participants. Categories studied include: Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment and Relationship with Supervisor.

"The companies on the 2012 Best Places to Work in Oklahoma list are outstanding examples of the strong bond that exists between Oklahoma employers and their employees,” says Publisher Bill Bleakley. “The bond arises out of a special commitment to the quality of the work environment and to the quality of their products and services. These companies not only have the fundamental qualities required for a best place to work, but also demonstrate workplace innovations and programs unique to each company.”
