Jeremiah Tsoodle receives Anne Morris Greenwood Scholarship

Jeremiah Tsoodle of Carnegie, Okla., has been awarded the 2008-2009 Anne Morris Greenwood-Carnegie Wildcats Endowed Scholarship in the amount of $3,000.

Tsoodle, the son of Sherrie and David Tsoodle, will attend Oklahoma State University in the fall and major in environmental science. In high school, Tsoodle was a member of student council and served as a Special Olympics sponsor. His honors include the Principal’s Honor Roll, Citizen of the Day as a Boys State delegate, and athletic letters in football, baseball and golf. Tsoodle is eligible to receive the scholarship for up to four years of undergraduate study, provided he continues to maintain full-time student status and a minimum cumulative grade point average.

The Anne Morris Greenwood-Carnegie Wildcats Endowed Scholarship was established by Anne Morris Greenwood, a 1972 Carnegie High School graduate and the daughter of former longtime Carnegie resident Joe Morris. The scholarship was endowed in April 2004 to financially assist students from Carnegie in achieving their educational goals, and the first recipient was selected in August of that year.

Recipients of the scholarship must be enrolled as a full-time student at Oklahoma State University and exhibit strong financial need. First preference is given to graduates of Carnegie High School and second preference to graduates of any high school in Caddo County, Okla.

The Oklahoma State University Foundation serves as the private fundraising organization for OSU, as designated by the OSU Regents. Its mission is to unite donor and university passions and priorities to achieve excellence.
