Oklahoma State University Foundation Appoints New Trustees

Prominent leaders chosen to advance university vision

Oklahoma State University Foundation announced the election of six new trustees at the annual meeting of the Board of Governors in Stillwater. Michael Greenwood, Charlie Eitel, Jennifer Grigsby, Don Humphreys, Griffin Jones and Kim Watson were selected to serve four year terms as trustees.   

“Our trustees play a valuable role in providing leadership and oversight for the foundation and in helping us secure financial support for the university. Their efforts to enhance OSU’s future are greatly appreciated,” said Kirk A. Jewell, OSU Foundation president and CEO. 

Greenwood of Stillwater is managing director for Carnegie Capital LLC. He earned a marketing degree in 1977 from OSU and an MBA from the University of Tulsa.

Eitel of Naples, Fla., is chairman and CEO of Simmons Company. He earned a marketing degree in 1971 from OSU. 

Grigsby of Oklahoma City is vice president/treasurer of Chesapeake Energy. She earned an accounting degree in 1991 from OSU and an MBA in 1999 from Oklahoma City University.

Humphreys of Dallas, Texas, is the senior vice president/treasurer for ExxonMobil. He earned an industrial engineering and management degree in 1971 from OSU and an MBA in 1976 from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jones of Cypress, Texas, is managing director of commodities for Lehman Brothers. He earned a finance degree in 1991 from OSU.

Watson of Houston, Texas, is the retired director of children’s and women’s ministries for Windwood Presbyterian Church. She earned an elementary education degree in 1973 from OSU.

The OSU Foundation Board of Governors is composed of 122 men and women whose leadership and commitment to the university are demonstrated through achievement in business, steadfast financial support and a motivation to enhance the programs and initiatives of the Foundation.  Governors are leaders who have an avid interest in advancing higher education and demonstrate personal ties and dedication to Oklahoma State University.  Among the governors, 24 trustees are selected to act as the governing body of the organization and comprise the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

The Oklahoma State University Foundation serves as the private fundraising organization for OSU, as designated by the OSU Regents. Its mission is to unite donor and university passions and priorities to achieve excellence.
