Human Environmental Science North Building
Growth is the College of Human Environmental Sciences’ proud achievement, but also our biggest challenge. The College has experienced an enrollment increase each year since 1995. These numbers tell the story of an amazing 63 percent increase in our college enrollment in the past five years. Statistics place three of our four undergraduate majors in the top 10 chosen by OSU students. Construction of a 140,000 square foot addition to our existing buildings, Human Environmental Sciences-North, will provide much needed space for current programs, as well as the expansion of instructional and research programs.
Goal - $55 million

Esther Winterfeldt Chair in Nutrition
The caliber of a university is determined by the quality of its faculty. The department of Nutritional Sciences has grown and flourished because of the commitment of former department head and Regents Professor, ESTHER WINTERFELDT, and many faculty with a dedicated mission. The establishment of the Winterfeldt Chair will further the work that has engaged Dr. Winterfeldt for more than 50 years. This Chair will provide funds for a senior faculty member to teach, advise students, and conduct research aligned with state and national priorities in nutrition and dietetics.
Goal: $500,000

Scholarships and Fellowships
Eighty percent of OSU students rely on some type of financial aid to fund their education. The College of Human Environmental Sciences wants to assist accomplished and motivated students to realize their goal of becoming a college graduate, but we need your assistance.
Endowed Scholarships and Fellowships
By establishing endowed undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships for students, you are making an ongoing and important investment in the future. Follow our students after graduation and you will find them in positions of leadership in nutrition, the hospitality industry, academic and not-for-profit settings. Ask our alumni who received scholarships and they will tell you how extremely grateful they were for gifts that enabled them to complete their education.
Annual Scholarships and Fellowships
Annual gifts supporting unrestricted scholarships are especially useful because they enable CHES the flexibility to recruit and retain outstanding students. We hope you will consider making a difference in the lives of our students.
Goal: A minimum of $10,000 is required to establish such a scholarship. However, gifts of any amount will enhance the scholarship program.

The College of Human Environmental Sciences
Each department within the College of Human Environmental Sciences would greatly benefit by an increase in the amount of unrestricted funding that can be spent on the greatest need as identified by the Department Head and/or Dean. These "needs" include monies for faculty, staff and student professional development opportunities, students attending conferences that provide networking opportunities, and activities related to recruitment and retention of faculty and students. This funding can also be used for facility/equipment renovations and upgrades to keep laboratories and classrooms at the highest. Your gift to any one of these departments helps support the future of the College of Human Environmental Sciences. Gifts can be made to the following areas:
