Director of Development - Okmulgee
Responsibilities: The Oklahoma State University Foundation has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Development Officer for the OSU-Okmulgee campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating private gifts and financial support for Oklahoma State University while participating in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive campaign. Based on University priorities and with the direction of the OSU Foundation’s Assistant Vice President for Development, the individual will work with the president of the campus, program and division chairs and department heads to plan and manage the fundraising effort for OSU-Okmulgee, including the cultivation and solicitation of contributions from alumni, friends, corporations and foundations.
Salary: Salary commensurate with experience. Compensation includes an attractive fringe benefit package, including bonus opportunities.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree, demonstrated success in securing major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations and 2-3 years experience in fundraising, preferably in a higher education environment or a related field. Comprehensive campaign experience is preferred. This position requires excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with substantial experience in both preparing and presenting proposals.

Assistant VP for Gift Planning
Responsibilities: The Oklahoma State University Foundation has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Gift Planning Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing private support for Oklahoma State University by managing, planning, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive estate planning and gift program, through gifts made by will, trust, life insurance and life income arrangements. Based on University priorities and under the direction of the OSU Foundation’s Sr. Vice President for Development, the individual will work with the OSU Foundation leadership and development teams and estate planning professionals to strategize, plan and manage the gift planning efforts, while providing organizational leadership in the gift planning unit.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 5 years of experience and demonstrated success in gift planning. This position requires excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with substantial experience in managing a successful team with the capacity to inspire cooperation and participation.

Senior Director of Special Events
POSITION SUMMARY
The individual in this position is responsible for managing and directing special events related to the OSU Foundation and the comprehensive campaign for OSU. This individual will provide leadership in the planning, coordination and evaluation of the Foundation events. Working with internal staff, university leadership, and volunteers, the Sr. Director of Special Events is the principal conduit in which all event planning communications are handled.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Events Coordination
- Coordinates elements of donor events which involve decision making input on external resources, managing event processes, coordinating meetings, preparing, monitoring and distributing event budgets.
- Liaison to the marketing department on the development of media, marketing materials, announcements, photo opportunities and speech writing.
- Assists in developing new events, and maintains, organizes and manages existing events from concept to completion and ensuring they operate smoothly, efficiently and generate maximum revenue and exposure.
- Working alongside development officers and the corporation and foundation office to co-facilitate various events as required.
- Provide input on stewardship strategies to ensure seamless transition between fundraising events and stewardship activities, working closely with the Sr. Director of Marketing and Communications and the Director of Scholarship and Donor Relations.
Administrative Duties
- Creates, prepares and distributes meeting agendas, minutes and supporting documents.
- Supervises and ensure that donor information, event information and participant lists are managed through Raiser’s Edge.
- Coordinates guest lists, food service arrangements, menu planning, decorative and table set-up, nametags and staffing.
Other
- Provide day-to-day supervision of the Assistant Director of Special events and any other events staff members.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and experience which evidences adeptness in event planning, managing multiple projects, and monitoring budgets.
- University experience and familiarity with OSU are preferred
- Experience should also include the ability to work independently as well as effectively and harmoniously with others.
- Equivalent combinations of education may be substituted for the stated qualifications.
