ABOUT THE COMMUNITY

LEARN MORE

Oklahoma State University is an intricately woven piece of the Stillwater community. Describing one without mention of the other would not do justice to the unique combination that makes our town.

Stillwater offers a variety of activities and recreation for every taste ranging from arts and craft festivals to golf tournaments to library events. OSU and the community merge at Campus Corner where locals and visitors alike can find favorite eateries like Eskimo Joes and the Hideaway with local shops tucked between. The University offers this small-town community a taste of big city life with guest speakers, visiting artists and large-scaled events.

Located in the middle of two Oklahoma metropolitan areas, Stillwater is a one-hour drive from both Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The proximity to the two cities invites Stillwater residents to explore the vastly different cultures of each.

Repeatedly praised for being one of the best small towns in America and even dubbed a “dream town,” Stillwater is a great place to be.
